Digital memorialization of our nation’s Veterans
Veterans Legacy Memorial is a publicly available website that enables virtual memorialization of the millions interred and inurred at VA national cemeteries, serving as a mechanism to keep the memory of Veterans alive. This platform shall provide a new and unprecedented service to allow survivors and family members to grieve and memorialize their Veterans digitally. It also presents an academic opportunity as it should be designed to allow researchers, amateurs, students, and professionals to share historical and educational information about Veterans and the cemeteries themselves, some of which date back to the Civil War.
